FAQ's
Do you still file with my insurance company?
We do not participate in filing with any health plans, including Medicare. Patients with private insurance have the option to file on their own using the information provided to them upon payment of any charges. It's important to note that Medicare patients are prohibited by federal regulations from seeking reimbursement for payments made to us or any other non-participating provider. However, it's essential to recognize that our out-of-network status does not impact coverage at any in-network hospitals or facilities where patients may be referred for treatment or testing.
One of the benefits you list is a comprehensive annual exam. Will my insurance company pay on that?
Non-Medicare patients will receive the required paperwork for self-filing purposes. It's advisable to consult your provider to understand how your plan handles reimbursement in such cases. For details about the annual exam and its components, please refer to the information provided on our Services page.
I still don’t understand if I have insurance coverage, why am I charged a fee?
Patients enrolled in concierge medical practices like ours receive services that are not covered by insurance plans. The advantages of same-day appointments, 24/7 access to their personal physician, and the emphasis on preventive healthcare can only be delivered when doctors have a reduced patient load. The fee helps compensate for the income loss resulting from the smaller number of patients cared for in Concierge Medicine and Wellness.
How often do I pay the retainer fee?
The annual fee can be paid via check or credit card. We offer various payment options, including annual, quarterly, and monthly installments.
